Prayer Groups

Prayer is an amazing gift from God. God promises to hear you whenever you turn to Him. Not only does God hear our prayers, He has also promised to answer them.

*

Prayer makes a difference both to us and the situations we bring before God.

*

Our Prayer Groups meet twice a week. Please join us ……

*

Monday @ 7.30pm & Wednesday @ 1.00pm the prayer room.

The groups are open to all ages, they are friendly and informal. We encourage each other; in individual prayers, in silent prayers and in group prayers to draw nearer to God. We know it is God’s greatest desire that we should communicate with Him and hear His voice in listening prayers.

‘Again I tell you that if two of you on Earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with you’ Mathew18:19-20.

Your concerns are our prayers throughout the week. All prayers are treated in confidence and with love. When we pray, we come in simplicity as a child to a loving parent. Scripture promises that God is near and listening but sometimes it is difficult to know what to say. Here is a prayer which might help you;

*

‘Father, I know you’re listening, always ready to hear my prayer. I want to say thank you for Jesus, my saviour, redeemer and friend. You have given me so much Lord. Thank you for all the blessings in my life. Please open my eyes to see the needs of others around me. I confess my selfish life before You, forgive me Lord. Wrapped up in my own needs I often miss out on the love that is available for me to give and receive. Help me to come closer to You and learn more about your love by listening to Your will through the words of the Bible. In Jesus name I pray, Amen’

If you are unable to come along and you would like us to pray for you or if we have been praying for you it would be good to hear how and in what way our prayers have been answered please contact Helen Gibson, contact details available from the church office.
